The straight line border
The dotted line
While nature struggles
The world is fine
Until it isn't
I don't know when
I live today
I'm just a man
Future Holds
The straight line border
The dotted line
While nature struggles
The world is fine
Until it isn't
I don't know when
I live today
I'm just a man
working on making the end of the day come nearer faster and then the end and then the drinks and smokes and then it goes faster and faster and the day ends and i end till a new day and more work and drinks and smokes and endings
I'm not missing out
On a life that is not mine
My world is here
In my heart, taking me
To where I need to go
Chiming of church bells Wafting over rooftops Volume increasing on the wind The birds of the neighborhood Filling in the blanks I am writing against will And judgement I need to rest
The book I read Through squinted eyes I don't subscribe to your Eyes, through your Eyes, my truth Gets skewed, my Unhinged posture, Arms wide, legs crossed Blood dripping from My side, tilting, I get dizzy I need my eyes To see
Drafted, drowned, drained Puddle-wet, I see the night get darker Snuffed -- blanketed, looking through the pinholes At a starry sky
I am full, filled To the brim With love Or horniness Or sunlight Or alcohol Take Your pick
My wet cheek, a yawn so wide My sleepless jaws are hurting The light bright, too far away For the thunder to skip a beat My eyes hurt from the blue noise As the lynching mob marches My head feels full but empty
Eyes falling shut Brain's shutting Down, the stars can't Hurt me anymore
Sooner rather than later, I Will retreat my words From these pages, just To see if someone can read in Between the lines and Finally make sense of me
